Apple CEO ‘disappointed’ by Trump’s visa ban
Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook said on Tuesday that he is “deeply disappointed” by the decision of US President Donald Trump to extent visa restrictions for foreign workers through the end of the year.
“Like Apple, this nation of immigrants has always found strength in our diversity, and hope in the enduring promise of the American Dream. There is no new prosperity without both. Deeply disappointed by this proclamation,” Cook wrote on Twitter.
The new rule refers mostly to H-1B visas, that enable tech companies to hire foreign workers without needing them to go through the traditional immigration process.
