Apple, Hyundai finalizing electric vehicle deal – report
Apple Inc. and the Hyundai Motor Company are nearing a deal on the production of electric vehicles, CNBC reported. The so-called Apple Cars would be made in an assembly plant in West Point, Georgia, multiple sources said.
The sources added that the deal has not been signed yet, as well as that Apple could cooperate with multiple carmakers. Previous reports stated that production should start in 2024 and could reach 100,000 vehicles by the end of that year.
Apple’s shares added 2.21% in aftermarket trade following the report, while Hyundai rose by 2.08%.
