Armenia to accept talks only if aggression stops – PM
Armenia will agree to sit at the negotiating table in regard to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh only after the “aggression” stops, Yerevan’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.
“When there is aggression, the first task is to protect the population from aggression. Only after this will it be possible to talk about negotiations. In the situation when there is large-scale aggression, I can say with confidence that the people of Karabakh will not retreat in the face of the aggression,” Pashinyan said.
Earlier, a spokesperson for Azerbaijani President Ilhan Aliyev said that Armenia is undermining negotiations and that its operations are counter-offensive.
