Asian stocks mostly higher with RBA minutes in focus
Shares in the Asia-Pacific region stood mostly higher on Tuesday as the investors analyzed the minutes from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) latest monetary policy committee meeting. Australia’s central bank noted that the coronavirus’ Delta variant poses a hindrance to the economic rebound, adding that the country is expected to get back on its “pre-Delta path” in the following year’s second half.
The Nikkei 225 grew 0.60% at 7:15 am CET, as the S&P/ASX 200 slid 0.08% at the same time. Hang Seng concurrently jumped 1.25%, with the Kospi Composite advancing 0.65%.
The Shanghai Composite moved up by 0.8% at 7:01 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite improved by 0.84% at the same time. The dollar traded 0.11% lower compared to the yen and went for 114.1910 at 7:17 am CET.
