AT&T Q4 revenue at $45.7B, down by 2.3% YoY
AT&T Inc. revealed on Wednesday its consolidated revenue in the fourth quarter of 2020 landed at $45.7 billion, down by 2.3% in comparison to the same period last year. The company’s diluted losses per share stood at $01.95, worsening from last year’s earnings per share (EPS) of $0.33. Meanwhile, its net loss attributable to common stock came in at $13.9 billion, declining from net income of $2.4 billion in 2019.
Throughout the entire 2020, AT&T’s consolidated revenue was $171.8 billion, decreasing by 5.18% compared to $181.2 billion recorded in 2019. Its net loss attributable to common stock was landed at $5.4 billion, or $0.7 per common share, worsening from $13.9 billion net income and $1.89 diluted EPS reported last year.
“We ended the year with strong momentum in our market focus areas of broadband connectivity and software-based entertainment,” AT&T Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Stankey said. “By investing in our high-quality wireless customer base, we had our best full-year of postpaid phone net adds in a decade and our second lowest postpaid phone churn ever.”
After the release of the report, AT&T’s shares sank by 2.59% in premarket trading.
