Australia’s Victoria state to re-enter lockdown – report
Australia’s second-most populous state of Victoria is going to re-enter coronavirus lockdown after seeing a spike in infections in Melbourne, Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported citing government sources.
The state authorities are expected to confirm the measures on Thursday, which is also likely to be the day further restrictions are put in place.
This week, Melbourne has confirmed a total of 15 cases, of which three were close contacts prompting the state government to take action to contain the fresh outbreak.
