Austria adds 1,851 COVID cases ahead of lockdown
Austrian officials said on Friday that there have been 1,851 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 349,055. The country is headed into its third lockdown starting from December 26 until January 24.
The number of fatalities grew by 38 since the last update. Overall, deaths since the start of the pandemic reached 5,783. Meanwhile, 318,154 people have recovered so far, while 2,454 are currently hospitalized.
