Austria’s Nehammer tests positive for COVID-19

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday, according to his office.

Nehammer’s office stressed the chancellor has no symptoms and is currently working from home, where he is isolating.

“There is no reason for concern, I am doing well,” Nehammer stated. “My appeal is still: go get vaccinated, get a booster. That will protect you with high probability against serious illness,” he added.
