Beijing: Chinese and Russian armies to bolster cooperation
Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe stated on Friday that Russian and Chinese military forces will continue to strengthen inter-army cooperation with the goal of global protection and the stability of the planet.
“The world has been swept by a large-scale pandemic and is witnessing a lot of changes. In these conditions, the armies of China and the Russian Federation will strengthen strategic interaction and comprehensive pragmatic cooperation,” the Chinese Defense Ministry wrote on the WeChat social network.
The statement arrived following a meeting with the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as Russia and China completed joint military drills Sibu/Interaction 2021. The army exercises involved 10,00 troops, nearly 200 pieces of armor, 90 artillery guns and over 100 fixed-and rotary-wing aircraft.
