Belgium to add strict work from home inspections
Belgium will start implementing strict inspections to certify that employees are working from home across the country, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said at a press conference on Friday. He added that COVID-19 prevention measures cannot be relaxed right now.
The prime minister also revealed that Belgium will demand negative tests on COVID-19 for any non-resident entering the country while the government continues to discourage travel in general. “Anyone who stays abroad for more than 48 hours will be considered a high-risk contact,” De Croo said.
However, he went on to say that vaccinations in Belgium could start before the end of the year and that “there is a light at the end of the tunnel.”
