Biden approves $200M in military aid for Ukraine
United States President Joe Biden announced on Saturday that he had authorized $200 million in weapons and other assistance for Ukraine, as informed by the White House press service.
In a memorandum to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Biden instructed that the funds should be designated through the Foreign Assistance Act and allocated for the defense of Ukraine.
The announcement comes after the US House of Representatives passed a $1.5 trillion stopgap funding bill, of which $13.6 billion were earmarked for aid to Ukraine.
