Biden: Not looking for conflict with Russia
United States President Joe Biden stated during a speech on Monday that in the upcoming in-person meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin he will convey that America is not looking to start a conflict with Russia, but it will respond to any harmful activities Russia engages in.
Biden added that during his meeting with NATO, the leaders of states agreed to jointly support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. The leaders affirmed their cooperation on issues such as nuclear deterrence, arms control, strategic stability and counterterrorism actions.
“The US commitment to Article 5 of the NATO treaty is rock solid and unshakable. It’s a sacred commitment. NATO stands together, that’s how we’ve met every other threat in the past. It’s our greatest strength. […] America is back,” Biden stated.
