Biden: Putin is tough and worthy adversary
United States President Joe Biden (pictured) described on Monday Russian President Vladimir Putin as “bright and though,” adding, ahead of the talks between the two leaders, that Putin is a “worthy adversary.”
Answering a question whether he still thinks the Russian president is “a killer,” during a press conference in Brussels, Biden stated that his answer was honest, but dismissed its significance in regard to the upcoming meeting in Geneva.
Biden explained that Russia will be given a chance to “decide in which area it wishes to cooperate,” underlining that Putin’s reluctance to collaborate in a field such as “cybersecurity” will be responded “in kind.”
