BlackRock’s Q4 revenue up 14% to $5.1 billion
BlackRock Inc. posted on Friday its revenue for the fourth quarter of 2021 at $5.1 billion, an increase of 14% compared to the same quarter in 2020. The diluted earnings per share (EPS) were up 6% to $10.63, slightly above expectations, while net income also rose by 6% to $1.6 billion. In the full year 2021, the company reported a revenue of 19.3 billion, gaining 20% year-on-year, the EPS increased 20% to $38.22, and net income grew 20% to $5.9 billion.
“BlackRock delivered the strongest organic growth in our history, even as our assets under management reached new highs. We generated $540 billion of net inflows in 2021, including an industry leading $267 billion of active net inflows,” said CEO Laurence Fink. “BlackRock enters 2022 better positioned than ever – we remain confident in our ability to continue generating differentiated organic growth over the long-term.”
