Blinken, UN’s Guterres talk multilateral cooperation
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a phone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Washington is committed to strengthening international collaboration to stop the current hostilities, spokesperson for the United States Department of State, Ned Price, said.
The two talked about joining forces to tackle a wide array of issues “of global importance, including Afghanistan,” said Price.
Blinken emphasized the US’ appreciation for the Secretary-General’s efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia and underscored the need for promoting negotiations toward a sustainable ceasefire.
