Borrell: EU to help Ukraine in response to cyber attack
European Union High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell stated on Friday the bloc is going to help Ukraine in responding to the cyber attack its government experienced earlier in the day.
“We are going to mobilize all our resources to help Ukraine to tackle this cyber attack. Sadly, we knew it could happen,” he told reporters before meeting with the foreign ministers of the EU’s members. He stressed that “it is difficult to say” who is responsible for what happened but added that “I can’t blame anybody as I have no proof, but we can imagine.”
Earlier the day, the Ukrainian government revealed it suffered a “massive cyberattack” that affected the websites of several of its services, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
