Boston Fed President Rosengren to retire early
Eric Rosengren, Boston Federal Reserve president, announced on Monday his retirement effective September 30, nine months earlier than originally planned.
The release from Rosengren’s office revealed that he has been awaiting a kidney transplant since June 2020 and said his doctor advised him that a change in lifestyle may help him avoid dialysis.
The announcement comes shortly after Rosengren faced controversy over personal stock trading.
