Brazil adds 75,102 COVID cases, 1,699 deaths
Brazilian health authorities revealed that 75,102 people nationwide tested positive for the coronavirus in the past twenty-four hours, taking the number of cases seen to date to 10,793,732.
The daily cases stood above 70 thousand two days in a row, while a four-digit number of deaths was also reported for the second consecutive day with 1,699 fatalities attributed to the virus during the twenty-four-hour time period, taking the South American nation’s death toll to 260,970.
In the meantime, the cumulative number of recoveries from the illness increased to a total of 9,637,020 with 895,742 people still in recovery.
