Brazil reports 24,468 COVID cases, 272 deaths
Brazil’s Health Ministry revealed 24,468 people tested positive for the COVID-19 nationwide in the past 24 hours, halving compared to the 51,922 infections confirmed the day before.
The country’s total lands at 6,314,740 with the newly registered cases added as the virus-related deaths increased by 272, which brings the Latin American nation’s coronavirus death toll to 172,833.
Brazil currently stands third worldwide in the number of total cases registered, behind the United States and India, and lags only behind the US in the number of deaths caused by the illness.
