Brazil’s new virus cases double to 64,025, deaths at 1,110
Brazil’s Health Ministry revealed 64,025 people tested positive for the COVID-19 in the country during the past twenty-four hours, marking a twofold increase in infections compared to the 25,822 cases registered the day before.
The figure brings the country’s total to 8,195,637. Meanwhile, with 1,110 new fatalities attributed to the virus, the South American nation’s death toll reaches 204,690.
In the meantime, the cumulative number of recoveries from the illness increased to a total of 7,273,707.
