Brussels renews Crimea sanctions – TeleTrader.com
The European Council reported on Monday that it extended sanctions implemented over the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia.
The restrictive measures, which target imports from Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as infrastructural or financial investments and tourism services in the peninsula, will remain in strength until June 2023, the European Union said.
“The EU does not recognise the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and continues to condemn this violation of international law, in line with the declaration by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on behalf of the EU,” the bloc stated.
