Canada to allow vaccinated travelers from September
Canadain Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his country expects to allow entry to non-essential travelers from all countries from early September, provided they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. People from the neighboring United States could be accepted as early as mid-August, he added.
In a call with provincial leaders, he pointed out around 80% of eligible Canadians have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while over half have been fully inoculated. The government should provide more details on the travel plans early next week, Trudeau said.
