CEO: First J&J vaccines to be given in next 24-48h in US
The first single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines will be administered to Americans within the next 24 to 48 hours, J&J CEO Alex Gorsky said on Monday.
Speaking to NBC, he said “the trucks are literally rolling off the docks as we speak” and added that he foresees the company can ship 20 million vaccine doses over the next month. Gorsky went on to stress that J&J is on track to deliver 100 million doses of its coronavirus vaccine by June.
Earlier, it was announced that 3.9 million J&J vaccine doses are being shipped on Monday after the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency use approval for the jab.
