China ramps up oil imports from Iran, Venezuela – report
United States officials claim that oil imports from Venezuela and Iran to China have surged in recent weeks despite US sanctions, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
The claims appear to be supported by data from shipping trackers, with Kpler revealing China is expected to import 918,000 barrels a day from Iran in March.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Washington has warned Beijing it stands ready to enforce sanctions on the importing of Iranian crude as shipments from the Islamic country to China continue to increase.
