Consumer prices in Japan up 0.3% YoY in July
Consumer prices index in Japan grew by 0.3% in July on a yearly basis, standing at 101.9, according to a report by the Statistics Bureau of Japan published on Friday.
Excluding fresh food and energy, the annual inflation rate stood at 0.0% in July. Furniture and household utensils’ prices jumped 3.3% year-on-year, while the education-related charges dropped by 10.3% compared to July 2019.
The prices of goods were up by 0.8% annually, while services’ prices declined by 0.2%.
