Costco’s Q2 revenue rises 15% annually to $45B
Costco Wholesale Corp. reported on Thursday its revenue in the second quarter landed at $44.77 billion, up 15% compared to the prior year. Operating income rose 6% to $1.34 billion. Net income grew 2% per annum to stand at $951 million, or $2.14 per share.
Net sales climbed 15% year-on-year, while membership fees advanced 8% to $881 million. Comparable sales for the whole company were up 13%, with the e-commerce revenues jumping 75.8%.
Following the release, Costco’s stock traded 1.55% down in the after-hours trading.
