COVID-19 India: 47,905 new cases, 550 deaths
The number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus disease in India on Wednesday landed at 47,905 bringing its total to 8,683,916, according to the country’s Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
Meanwhile, the South Asian nation’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 128,121 after the health officials confirmed 550 additional virus-related fatalities. On the other hand, the total number of nationwide recoveries reached 8,066,501, rising by 52,718 in the twenty-four hours since the last update was released.
The country stands second worldwide in the number of infections reported daily, lagging only behind the United States.
