Cuomo declares state of emergency in NY over COVID-19
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (pictured center) declared a state of emergency on Saturday over the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Cuomo also noted he believes that the state should test as many people as possible because it is important to know the number of infections. According to the latest data, 76 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in New York with 10 people hospitalized as a result.
The governor confirmed that many others were placed in mandatory quarantine in an effort to contain the disease. “There’s no doubt that massive quarantine is the best way to slow the spread,” Cuomo stated.
