Current WHO head to stay on for another term – report
Current Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus should serve another term in the position, AFP reported on Friday. A diplomatic source said he was the only candidate to come forward so far.
Tedros has been the head of the United Nations health agency since July 2017 and has overseen the response to the coronavirus pandemic. His term will expire in 2022.
