Daily COVID-19 deaths in US hit 2-month low
The daily jump in new coronavirus deaths in the United States on Tuesday was at its lowest since early July with 273 new fatalities confirmed, taking the nation’s toll to 189,182, Johns Hopkins University’s tally showed.
During the same time, the total infections in the country increased by 25,249 to 6,299,637, while the cumulative number of tests administered by the nation’s health workers passed 83.4 million.
On the other hand, the number of people released from hospitals after fully recovering from the disease rose to a total of 2,333,551.
