De Blasio: Number of people on ventilators declining
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio stated on Wednesday that the rate of people needing ventilators is declining. However, he said that there “is no question the virus is driving a spike in deaths at home.”
Speaking for CNN, De Blasio said that the city has enough ventilators to get through the week and added that “more can be done in minority neighbourhoods on the virus” but that it is important to be sure not to have a “false dawn” on the virus trend.
According to the latest information, number of infected people in New York is 142,384 while the death toll reached 5,489.
