Delta strain dampens Seoul’s recovery outlook – experts
The economic outlook in South Korea is facing “heightened uncertainty” amid the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, state-run Korea Development Institute (KDI) stated.
“The intensifying spread of COVID-19 may partially limit the recovery of domestic demand, mainly in the face-to-face service industry,” the institute’s report read.
In the last 24 hours, South Korea has registered 1,729 new coronavirus infections, which brought the country’s case count to 210,956.
