Denmark to close airspace for Russian planes
Denmark became the latest country to ban Russian flights from its airspace on Sunday, following the same move from Finland and Ireland. Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod announced the decision, stating that “Russia’s unprovoked, despicable attack on Ukraine must be met with strongest possible international sanctions and condemnation.”
European Union’s foreign ministers will meet later in the day to discuss an EU-wide ban on Russian aircraft after ten member states have so far individually announced the decision.
