Disney chooses Susan Arnold as Iger’s successor
The Walt Disney Company announced on Wednesday that its board of directors elected Susan Arnold as the new Chairman of the Board.
Arnold served on the Disney board for 14 years, with her current role being the independent Lead Director, a position she held since 2018. She will be succeeding Bob Iger, who assumed the role back in 2012 and also served as the board’s Executive Chairman since 2020.
Iger commented on the development: “Having most recently served as independent Lead Director, Susan is the perfect choice for Chairman of the Board, and I am confident the Company is well-positioned for continued success under her guidance and leadership.”
