Dollar weakens versus euro, pound after jobs data
The United States dollar surrendered more than 0.6% to both the euro and the pound on Friday after the disappointing nonfarm employment report.
Compared to the euro, the greenback sank to a level it last stood at in late February. Versus the pound sterling, the US currency dropped to a two-and-a-half-week low.
Both the euro and the pound jumped by 0.64% compared to the dollar at 10:59 am ET, selling for 1.21420 and 1.39783, respectively.
