Dow falls over 160 pts in premarket
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by more than 160 points in premarket trading as investors digested news from the Fed banks’ presidents regarding the overall economic state. President of the Fed Boston Eric Rosengren stated the next six months will continue to be “pretty choppy.” Kansas City Fed President Esther George said COVID is still a key risk to the US economy.
The Dow Jones plunged 0.56% or 167 points at 5:32 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 went up by 0.10% at 5:33 am ET. A minute later, the S&P 500 was down by 0.34%.
The euro advanced by 0.24% against the dollar, selling for $1.18085 at 5:33 am ET.
