Dow jumps 300 pts as inflation fears subside
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged over 300 points on Tuesday as the traders seemingly brushed off inflation fears ahead of the key report on the consumer prices in the country, scheduled for release later this week.
On the earnings front, the investors will monitor the release of the final-quarter and the full-year results by ride-hailing service Lyft, Inc.
The Dow Jones flew 0.86%, or 304 pts, at 11:45 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.91% at the same time, led by Pinduoduo’s surge. The S&P 500 concurrently added 0.63%.
The euro slid 0.17% compared to the dollar at 11:48 am ET, selling for 1.14186.
