Dow jumps over 600 pts in premarket on jobs report
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged over 600 points in premarket trading on Friday following the release of the better-than-expected jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Moments earlier, the BLS reported that nonfarm employment in the United States rose by 2.5 million in May, while the unemployment rate decreased by 1.4 percentage points to 13.3%.
The Dow jumped 607 points at 8:36 am ET ahead of the opening bell on Wall Street.
