Durham’s report due in ‘coming months’ – report
United States Department of Justice’s (DoJ) Special Counsel John Durham is expected to complete his report about his investigation into the origins of the so-called Russia probe “in the coming months,” The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
Durham is currently presenting evidence from the case to a grand jury, according to the report. Unnamed sources briefed on the matter also claimed that he is looking into bringing criminal charges against a number of lower-ranked FBI employees.
The special counsel is investigating whether the 2016 FBI probe into alleged collusion between then-presidential candidate and later US President Donald Trump and Russia was based on false information and politically motivated.
