eBay Q4 revenue at $2.9 billion, up by 28% YoY
eBay Inc. revealed on Wednesday its revenue in the fourth quarter of 2020 landed at $2.9 billion, 28% higher than in the same period last year, beating expectations. During the whole calendar year, the company grossed $10.3 billion, marking an annual increase of 19%.
The firm’s net income in the fourth trimester surged by 55% year-on-year to $781 million, while its diluted earnings per share (EPS) jumped by 93% from $0.58 to $1.12. For the calendar year 2020, the net income grew by 67.68% to $2.54 billion, while the EPS saw an annual rise of 100% from $1.77 to $3.54.
“We finished the year with strong financial results, but what inspires me most is the support we’ve been able to extend to small businesses – providing them with tools, resources and access to millions of buyers globally,” eBay Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jamie Iannone commented.
After the release of the report, eBay’s shares went up by 9.29% in the after-hours trading.
