ECB’s Holzmann: PEPP to ‘probably end in March’
European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council member Robert Holzmann said on Wednesday that a decision will be made on tapering at the central bank’s December meeting.
“PEPP [pandemic emergency purchase programme] purchases will probably end in March but PEPP will not end but probably be put in a waiting room,” Holzmann said.
The central banker also remarked that Austria’s lockdown will have “moderate effects on the economy” and that the effect of lockdowns on economies is “increasingly small.”
