EIA: US crude stockpiles jump by 19.2M barrels
Crude oil stockpiles in the United States surged by 19.2 million barrels to 503.6 million barrels in the week ending April 10, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its weekly report on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, crude oil imports averaged 5.7 million barrels per day last week, slipping by 194,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Gasoline production averaged 5.9 million barrels per day last week, while crude oil refinery inputs averaged 12.7 million barrels.
Refineries operated at 69.1% of their capacity during the same period as total commercial petroleum inventories rose by 27.2 million barrels.
