EU to seek strengthening trade ties with Biden admin – Altmaier

German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier stated on Thursday that he and his counterparts from other countries of the European Union will seek to enhance the bloc’s trade relations with United States President Joe Biden’s administration.

“It is spring here in Brussels, and there is a spirit of optimism,” he said. “We have the chance to put global trade policy on a new footing.”

Back in November, Altmaier welcomed the election of Biden as the new US president, saying he will bring more multilateralism to the world.
