Euro area June inflation rate confirmed at 1.9%
The annual inflation rate for the Eurozone eased to 1.9% in June after hitting 2% in May, Eurostat confirmed in its final report on Friday.
Energy prices contributed the most to the annual inflation rate, followed by non-energy industrial goods and services, June’s report noted.
Among the euro area countries, Hungary and Poland saw the highest annual inflation rates, while the lowest were observed in Portugal and Malta.
