Europe closes mixed as Eurozone inflation hits all-time high
Major European markets closed mixed on Friday after data showed annual inflation in the Eurozone hit an all-time high of 5% in December.
The FTSE 100 rose 0.47%. The mining sector led the gains as Anglo American and BHP Group jumped 2.94% and 2.69%, respectively.
The DAX slid 0.65%. The worst performer was HelloFresh, down 2.56%.
The CAC 40 fell 0.42% with Hermes dropping 3.82%.
The euro climbed 0.43% against the dollar to sell for 1.13402 at 5:32 pm CET and the pound added 0.31% compared to the greenback to go for 1.35708 at the same time.
