Europe higher premarket amid new vaccine optimism
European shares traded higher in the premarket trade on Tuesday after Russian Health Ministry announced the Sputnik V vaccine against the COVID-19 was launched for public use. Previously, British Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he expects Oxford’s vaccine will “most likely” be available in the first quarter of 2021.
The DAX rose by 0.21% at 7:30 am CET, while at the same time, the CAC 40 grew 0.09% and the FTSE 100 increased by 0.08% at 8:36 am CET.
The euro lost 0.09% to the dollar to sell for $1.18032 at 7:32 am CET, while a minute later the pound sterling decreased by 0.29% to change hands for $1.31302.
