Europe lower premarket with data, Brexit issues in focus
Shares on the major European stock market indices traded lower in the premarket on Friday as the investors digested the latest developments in the relations between the European Union and the United Kingdom. While the European Parliament reportedly postponed the ratification of the post-Brexit trade deal, the European Commission criticized the UK’s stance on the Norther Ireland trading.
On the data front, the traders will keep an eye on the reports regarding the factory orders in Germany, and the house prices in the UK.
The DAX slid 0.48% at 7:08 am CET, while the FTSE 100 lost 0.75% at the same time. Meanwhile, in Paris, the CAC 40 declined by 0.43% at 7:01 am CET. The euro went down 0.10% versus the dollar, selling for 1.19581 at 7:12 am CET, while the pound stood flat against the greenback, to go for 1.38868 at the same time.
