Europe opens higher ahead of inflation data
Major European stock markets kicked off Wednesday’s session with gains as investors awaited new data on the state of inflation across the Eurozone.
The premarket session was marked by the release of another batch of corporate earnings, with Novartis and Santander publishing their results for the last quarter of 2021.
The DAX rose 0.49%, while the FTSE 100 gained 0.53% and the CAC 40 increased by 0.29% at the opening bell. Both the euro and the pound traded mostly unchanged against the dollar at 8:55 am CET to sell for 1.12759 and 1.35294, respectively.
