European markets start 2022 in the green
Major European stock markets started the first trading session of 2022 with gains as investors awaited PMI data from the Eurozone.
The DAX rose 0.37% at 9:03 am CET. Vonovia, up 1.90%, led the gains.
The CAC 40 climbed 0.64% at 9:01 am CET. The best performer was L’Oreal whose shares jumped 2.25%.
The FTSE 100 was closed for the New Year’s holiday.
The euro lost 0.34% against the dollar to sell for 1.13450 at 9:01 am CET and the pound declined 0.19% compared to the US currency to go for 1.35076 at the same time.
