Eurozone consumer price inflation falls to 0.1% in May
The Consumer Price Index annual rate in the Eurozone dropped below the expectations to land at 0.1% in May, according to the final report published by Eurostat on Friday.
The highest contribution to the inflation rate, 3.3%, came from food, alcohol and tobacco, 1.3% followed by services and 0.2% from non-energy industrial goods.
Inflation rates were the highest in Estonia, 3.1%, Netherlands, 2.3%, as well as in Slovakia (2.7%) and Latvia, (3.5%).
